Fodick Bowl Pool Rules:
Whoever gets the most games correct wins.
If there is a tie then the tiebreaker(s) will come into effect, if there is still a tie then the purse will be split.
Use the link on the home page to Pick the Bowls If you have any issues/questions/etc. you can e-mail Dave.
(we started using Poolhost.com in 2025 and the link will be updated ASAP after it becomes available each year)
You will be able to view the current standings and each participants picks on the poolhost site.
Fozpools.com is where you can find the history of the Foz Family & Friends Bowl Pool and NCAA March Madness History, records, links, etc.
The entry fee is $5 (if paying by PayPal please add 50 cents or pay as a friend so there is no fee, the same goes for Venmo.)
You may enter more than one time if you chose but each entry will cost you another $5 entry fee
Must have picks in by 11:59 PM on Friday before the first game. This year is TBD, 2026.
(this could change in the future depending on when the first bowl game is)
If you have not met Dave Fosdick then please put who referred you to this game so we are able to figure out who all has paid up.
Nicknames are fine as long as we know who you really are and how to get a hold of you. Even if you just say “ask Doug M. he knows me”.
Payouts: (all $ is put into the pot).
50% of pot to 1st place
25% of pot to 2nd
15% of pot to 3rd
5% of pot to 4th
5% of pot to last
(Note: You will not be considered for the last place money unless you make picks for EVERY game) Last place was not used in 2025 due to two mid-majors. This would have made it too easy to miss points in the playoff pool.
If you do not have access to a computer or just prefer paper, you can get your picks to DaveF, or Doug M but online is the preferred entry method.
If your money is not paid by the first game your entry will be void, no exceptions!
Scoring:
Each regular bowl game will be worth 1 point.
BCS Playoffs points: 1st rd=1 point, 2nd rd=2 points, 3rd rd=3 points, champion=4 points.
Tiebreakers:
1st Tiebreaker: Total combined points in the BCS Championship game.
2nd Tiebreaker: Total combined penalty yards between both teams in the BCS Championship game.
The 2nd tie breaker only comes into play only if if the first one does not break a tie. If there is still is a tie then purse is split evenly between all tied entries.
Finally and most importantly: Have fun, talk trash and make side bets! If you do not like how this pool is done then we will gladly refund your money as long as you gladly do not play anymore.
Good luck!!
